OOTD: When I Met You in the Summer

Is this Calvin Harris song stuck in anyone else's head? It's been playing all day, every day on each radio station I tune into, and I simply can't get enough of it! Such a summery tune (I am so bad at adjectives) with a gorgeous festival vibe.

The Singapore music scene is steadily growing, and while there's nothing close to the level of Glatsonbury, some festivals such as Baybeats are happening within these couple of weeks. My take on 'festival fashion' is a good, airy kimono, cropped top and maybe some cute bottoms - exactly what I've tried to do here! Granted, the brogues wouldn't stand a chance in a muddy field, so I'd trade them in for some black boots or even pink jellies given the chance. They were great for tromping up and down the shopping malls today, though!

OOTD: Wimbledon-inspired

Wimbledon is right around the corner, with splashes of white being the current trend right now. I'm not a big fan of white-on-white, since I feel it's one of the most unflattering colours on my lower body. Instead, I compensated with the monochrome look - these Asos shorts are lightweight enough for the sweltering heat, despite the colour, and I got them a size down for the high-waisted fit. Add a statement white top courtesy of a local blogshop, and I think any outfit would be ace!

Guess who chopped off her locks?! Singapore is so muggy and hot, and I've been having so much trouble with my longer hair that I decided to go for the choppy bob so popular nowadays. I must say I was a bit shocked when the hairdresser literally gathered my hair and snipped it all off in one go, though!

Since the holidays are here, I've been going out a lot more than usual and have plenty of opportunities to play dress-up. I've been really keen to experiment with the bold hues seen in most brands' summer collections, and tried to pair the daring culottes here with Primark's equally vibrant sandals. I bought and wore a similar pair in mint green for Portugal, they were sadly damaged by the end of the trip!

I was partly inspired by the colour palette of the movie, Her, for this outfit. I adored Joaquin Phoenix's character's wardrobe of rust, red and oranges.

Feature: Eureka Jewellery I

If you've been following me on Instagram, you'll have noticed that I was kindly gifted two necklaces by new online jeweller, Eureka Jewellery. I was allowed to pick out the designs I liked best, and was pleasantly surprised at the wide range stocked. This silver pendant immediately caught my eye - I've been lusting over druzy pendants for ages and hardly have any silver/chrome jewellery in my collection, so it was easily my first choice.

Most of Eureka's necklaces are of the dainty variety, and while I like mine bolder, they're easier to wear and can class up any old outfit. For instance, I've dressed really simply in the photos, but the small detail of the pendant really goes a long way! 

I think most of their products are affordable, pricewise, especially considering the sort of material that each piece is made of. My pendant here is 18K White Gold plated! Plus, the service is friendly and polite, and my gifts arrived way before I even got home for the summer holidays.
